The test is offered by the National League of Nursing.
The exam tests students on a client’s basic physiological and psychosocial needs. The exam tests students based on the following four objectives:
The content areas test knowledge of clients with health issues based on the five nursing processes — assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing and evaluating. The questions involve clients with one or more of any number of health issues that can include death and dying; pre-and post-operative care; illnesses that are chronic; stress; imbalances in fluids and electrolytes; losing consciousness; and stress.

Students can expect questions on hygiene, exercise nutrition, circulation, fluids, self-esteem, and much more.
