Apply For A CSCS Card

Please follow the steps below to apply for a new, renewed or replacement CSCS Card. You must have completed a CITB health & safety test within the last 2 years to be eligible for a new or renewed CSCS Card. If you still need to complete this click here.

Application type New CSCS Card application: You have never held a CSCS card before Renew CSCS Card: Your CSCS card has expired (must be the same card you held before). Replace a CSCS Card: You need to replace a lost CSCS Card (must be the same card you held before)

Please note the card you are applying is a CSCS Blue Card NOT a Blue SKILLcard. The SKILLcard is a separate scheme. We do NOT process Blue SKILLcards.

Which Card are you applying for?

Have you already completed the one day or online Health, Safety and Awareness Course? You’re not eligible for a Blue Card but you can still apply for a Green Card. Apply for New Green Card

Have you achieved a construction related NVQ/SVQ level 2 or SVQ at SCQF level 5. or Completed an apprenticeship, such as an Employer sponsored apprenticeship, a City and Guilds Craft Certificate (CGLI)?

You’re not eligible for a Black Card but you could still apply for a Red (temporary) Card Apply for Red (temporary) Card

Have you achieved a relevant Construction Management/Technical related NVQ/SVQ level 4, 5, 6 or 7 or SVQ at SCQF Level 10 or 11 in Construction Management/Technical related qualification?

You’re not eligible for this Card but you can still apply for a Green Card. Apply for New Green Card Do you hold a construction related degree, HND, HNC, CIOB Certificate or NEBOSH diploma? You’re not eligible for this Card but you can still apply for a Green Card. Apply for New Green Card

Can you prove membership to a CSCS-approved professional body such as the Royal Institution of British Architects or the Chartered Institute of Building or the Institution of Civil Engineers?

You’re not eligible for this Card but you could still apply for a Red (temporary) Card Apply for Red (temporary) Card Do you hold a Construction Related Supervisory/Technical NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or 4? You’re not eligible for this Card but you could still apply for a Blue Card Apply for Blue Card

Have you completed a:
- Construction Related NVQ/SVQ level 3 or SVQ at SCQF level 6
- Approved apprenticeship (e.g.with NJCBI, BATJIC, Institute of Apprenticeships etc.)
- Completed an employer sponsored apprenticeship that included the achievement of a City and Guilds of London Institute Advanced Craft Certificate?

Green cards can no longer be renewed. Holders of these cards are required to apply for a new CSCS card rather than apply to renew an existing card.
